How Do I Meet People?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at this church.

Children’s KidTown Ministry

Each Sunday morning, children (Ages Pre-School through 5th Grade) get to participate in their own classes. Children (Pre-School – Kindergarten) can go to their classes starting at 9:30 am and remain there until the end of service. Children 1st-5th Grade will be dismissed during offering from the sanctuary to their classrooms. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. All adult Kidstyle Worship Volunteers are carefully screened and equipped to lead our Children through the curriculum.

Bridge Community Youth Group

Life can get complicated once you cross that threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The youth group of our church provides a welcoming atmosphere for all Middle School and High School aged teens. The Bridge Youth Group meets Sunday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 pm.

Women’s Group

Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, fellowship and prayer. These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.  For a current list of groups please contact us (217) 234-6022.

Men’s Group

Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. We offer several fellowship, conferences and study opportunities for men.  For a current list of groups please contact us (217) 234-6022.

Married Couples

Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. The church provides periodic classes focused on the marriage relationship.

Over 60’s Young @ Heart Group

Once you get past sixty, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-60 group of FWC provides a monthly luncheon, ministry, and times of valuable interaction.
Celebrate Recovery
Are you struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups? Celebrate Recovery is a national ministry in over 20,000 churches. The group meets Tuesday evenings from 6:00 – 8:00 pm with a time of worship, sharing, small and large groups and a free meal from 5:00 – 5:45 pm.
